Roles and permissions

Every person in a Proxon organization has one of three roles, and their role decides what they can do and what they can see. You choose a role for each person, and an admin can adjust what the Member and Admin roles are allowed to do.

The three roles

Owner is a special role. It always belongs to the person who created the organization, there is only ever one, and its permissions cannot be changed. Admin and Member begin with the defaults above. An admin with the Manage roles permission can then turn individual permissions on or off for either of them.

What each action allows

Manage observers	Select and install Proxon observers across the organization.
Manage organization details	Edit the organization name, industry, and other details.
Set up integrations	Connect and disconnect AI-vendor and tooling integrations.
Invite people to Proxon	Send invitations to add teammates to the organization.
Manage roles	Edit roles and the permissions each role grants.
Enter budget information	Set spending budgets for AI usage.
Enter custom pricing for AI services	Override the per-service AI pricing used to compute spend.

Customizing roles

An admin with the Manage roles permission edits roles under Roles in org settings, switching any of the permissions above on or off for the Member and Admin roles. The Owner role cannot be changed. Most organizations keep the defaults, where Members can see everything but take no actions, and Admins can both see and act.
